  • Evening groups, one hour in length, offered through the week
  • Weekly communication with parents
  • Techniques taught through art, play and creative expression
  • Emphasis on self-worth, feeling identification, stopping and thinking before you do
  • A pro-social approach to teaching social skills
  • Groups conducted by one facilitator and group aides
  • Regular groups continue throughout the year with the exception of Christmas, Spring and Summer break
  • Small, weekly at home activity sheets encourage group concepts outside the Onward program setting

  • To provide a safe environment for children to discuss their concerns and goals
  • To help the child recognize their positives and potential, enhancing their self esteem
  • To learn specific ways of integrating the taught social skills into their life

  • Children will learn to deal with their emotions in an empowering, assertive way
